Meeting residents at Lakewood's Meet The Trucks

Hi Everyone,

It’s been about a month since I officially launched my campaign for the Lakewood School Board, and I wanted to share a quick update with you.

First and foremost, thank you to everyone who has already donated to my campaign! Your support has made it possible for us to gear up for our first major public appearance – the Lakewood July 4th Parade. We’ve ordered t-shirts, candy, a banner, and postcards to hand out, and we’re excited to make a strong impression at one of the biggest events of the summer. Thousands will see our purple "Move Forward With Monica" shirts. There’s still time to join our parade group if you’d like to walk with us – we’d love to have you!

Next steps: After the parade, I’ll be out and about attending local events – including concerts at the library, movie nights at Lakewood Park, and neighborhood block parties – to connect with as many community members as possible. Save the date! On Thursday, August 28th, we’ll be hosting a fundraising event at Immigrant Son Brewery. This will be a crucial opportunity to raise the funds needed for mailers, stamps, and yard signs as we head into early voting (starting October 7th) and prepare for Election Day on November 4th.
