Campaign Priorities

Keep Our Neighborhood Schools Open
  • Initiate marketing effort with city to attract and retain families to Lakewood's destination school district, thus increasing and stabilizing school enrollment

  • Keep our neighborhood schools open

  • Utilize my career experience in facilities planning to calculate our current building capacity utilization as required by current Ohio law, and use this data to frame facilities usage decisions, advocating to state leaders as needed

Increase Transparency at the Board Level
  • Re-evaluate the performance of key admin with focus on hiring and retaining Lakewood residents as employees to ensure our values are reflected in decision-making

  • Host open forums outside of board meetings, one on one coffee or virtual meetings with residents (not just those who are already entrenched in Lakewood politics)

  • Building true transparency and trust with the Lakewood community at large for the financial support that will be needed as we face state budget changes

Foster Inclusiveness for All Lakewood Students
  • Host open forums with specific groups, such as parents of neurodivergent children, parents of children with disabilities, parents of LGBTQ children, parents of minority children, to evaluate what can be improved in our school system

  • Promote a welcoming environment by supporting programs at the school level that celebrate diverse cultures, abilities, and perspectives, ensuring every student feels valued and included
