The future of Lakewood’s schools will soon be in voters’ hands. On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Lakewood residents will head to the polls to elect two members to the Lakewood Board of Education. With the election just about 90 days away, now is the time to prepare, get informed, and get involved.
The Board of Education plays a vital role in our community. This five-member board serves as the decision-making and policy-making body for the district, ensuring our schools are managed effectively by qualified professional administrators. Board members serve four-year terms and are entrusted with decisions that directly impact the quality of education in our city.
This year’s election is an opportunity for residents to shape the leadership of our schools and help guide the direction of education in Lakewood. Whether you’re a parent, educator, student, homeowner, or community member, voting is your chance to have a say in who represents your values and priorities on the Board.
Important Voting Dates to Remember:

October 7, 2025 – Early in-person and absentee voting begins

Let’s continue to move Lakewood forward - together - by participating in this important local election. The future of Lakewood’s children and the way in which we strategically utilize our school properties depend on it.
