Lakewood Board of Education candidate Monica Bruaw is proud to announce the endorsement of the Cleveland Building and Construction Trades Council (CBCTC), representing thousands of skilled workers across Northeast Ohio.

The CBCTC brings together more than two dozen affiliated unions whose members build, maintain, and strengthen our region’s infrastructure. Their support reflects Monica’s commitment to ensuring Lakewood students are prepared for the future through strong career pathways, technical education, and partnerships that open doors to the trades.
“I am deeply honored to have the endorsement of the Cleveland Building and Construction Trades Council,” said Monica Bruaw. “Our community thrives when we give students a wide range of opportunities - whether that means pursuing college, entering a trade, or starting a career right here in Lakewood. I’m committed to expanding hands-on learning, strengthening vocational programming, and making sure every student graduates ready for success.”
The Council’s endorsement highlights Monica’s vision for education that is both academically rigorous and career-connected. By aligning classroom learning with real-world skills, Monica aims to ensure Lakewood continues to be a community where families, workers, and students thrive, and every student can succeed
With this endorsement, Monica’s campaign builds on broad community support from educators, parents, and labor leaders who share her belief that strong schools are the foundation of a strong Lakewood.
